Hamilton Locke acted for Grow Finance in relation to a A$35 million capital raise which was led by Japanese financial services group, Nomura.
The funding will be primarily used by Grow to secure additional debt facilities for its equipment and other financial products. The business is now focused on continuing to grow its share of the SME business lending market in Australia.
Grow Finance was established in 2015 by Greg Woszczalski and David Verschoor. It was recently listed as the fasted growing company in Australia by The Australian Financial Review’s Fast 100 and Fast Starters list.
Commenting on the transaction, Zina Edwards said: “We are delighted to have acted for Grow on this pivotal transaction for the business. We look forward to continuing to support Grow on its ambitious growth journey.”
The Hamilton Locke team acting for Grow Finance was led by the Head of Finance, Zina Edwards and partner, Lauren Cloete who was closely supported by lawyer, Wil Alam and lawyer, Preeti Lo. Partner James Delesclefs and lawyer Kajal Tulsi advised on the corporate aspects of the transaction, while a further team led by finance partner, Brad Allen acted for AMAL Trustees who were appointed to act as agent and security trustee on behalf of Nomura.
