Hamilton Locke Appoints Prominent Corporate Lawyer, Brett Heading

Hamilton Locke is delighted to announce the appointment of leading Queensland corporate lawyer, Brett Heading as a Partner, in a significant move for the Firm’s recently launched Brisbane office. Recognised as Australia’s fastest growing law firm, Hamilton Locke continues its significant growth trajectory.

Brett has been in practice for 43 years. He has combined his outstanding legal career with board appointments for many ASX listed companies (including Unity Pacific, Technology One, AACo, Chemgenex Pharmaceuticals, Peplin Biotech and Apollo Tourism & Leisure) and unlisted companies (including Hoyts and Peanut Company of Australia). He was also a long serving member of several Federal Government organisations (Takeovers Panel, Board of Taxation and CAMAC Legal Committee).

Brett joins from the global firm Jones Day and was previously Chairman of Partners at McCullough Robertson

The Brisbane office of Hamilton Locke was launched with three partners – corporate partner, Peter Williams (from McCullough Robertson), insolvency and litigation partner, Mark Schneider (from Norton Rose Fulbright and Benny Sham (from Jones Day).
