Camilla Vadas

Lawyer – Workplace and Employment

Camilla advises on all aspects of employment law and has particular expertise in litigious matters such as the defence of claims made under the Fair Work Act 2009 (Cth) and anti-discrimination legislation, as well the defence of work health and safety prosecutions.

In addition, Camilla also has experience in contract drafting and the implementation of executive remuneration arrangements.

Prior to joining Hamilton Locke, Camilla worked for HWL Ebsworth Lawyers in the firm’s workplace relations and safety team.

  • Acted for an international company on the implementation of redundancies following the COVID-19 pandemic.
  • Acted for the Australian subsidiary of an international company in proceedings relating to the enforcement of a contractual non-compete and non-solicit clauses in the Supreme Court of New South Wales.
  • Acted for the defendant company in a work health and safety prosecution in the District Court of New South Wales.
  • Advised a private equity firm on the employment aspects of a transaction involving the share purchase of a clothing company for over AUD500m.
