Although she previously wanted to be a human rights lawyer, Iveta discovered a strong passion for commercial transactions in one of her previous employment roles, which led her to pursue a career in an M&A. Iveta enjoys the value of successful transactions in that they lead to the creation of jobs and therefore help to support families.
Iveta has a strong ability to adapt to new challenges and work environments, which she developed working in top tier law firms in Prague, London, Hong Kong and Perth. She has deep expertise in corporate and commercial matters in the energy and resources sector; incorporated and unincorporated joint ventures; asset and share acquisitions; early-stage projects and disposals; general business commercial and operational matters; and procurement.
Prior to joining Hamilton Locke, Iveta worked for Norton Rose across their London, Prague, Hong Kong and Australian offices, Allens Linklaters, PWC, Lawyers On Demand and White & Case.

SELECTED REPRESENTATIONS
- Acted for a Chinese private company, on the acquisition of an 80% stake in Kilikanoon Wines in South Australia.
- Advised a resources company, in relation to various joint ventures, and drafted earn-in and incorporated joint venture agreements in relation to projects in the Solomon Islands.
- Acted for a gold mining company in relation to the acquisition of all the shares in the company by a foreign purchaser.
- Advised a WA based oil and gas company on a rights issued conducted in order to finance the development of new offshore projects in Southeast Asia.
