Kajal is a keen problem-solver, with a focus on providing legal counsel while maintaining a pulse in the broader corporate and commercial landscape. She works to find the most innovative solutions to complex problems in a calm, dedicated and creative manner.

As a capital markets and M&A specialist, Kajal’s experience spans across a range of areas, including private equity related acquisitions and disposals general corporate advisory, shareholder arrangements as well as management and employee incentive schemes. She also has experience advising on transactions involving the privatisation of publicly-listed companies.  

Prior to joining Hamilton Locke, Kajal worked for King & Wood Mallesons, as well as South African firm, Webber Wentzel.

  • Advised Quadrant Private Equity in its disposal of 100% of shares in Qscan Group Holdings.
  • Advised The Carlyle Group on its acquisition of Tessara Proprietary Limited and its subsidiaries, via its Sub-Saharan Africa Fund.
  • Acted for Verra Mobility Corporation in its acquisition of Redflex Holdings. 
  • Acted for Icon Institute of Innovation and Research Proprietary Limited’s acquisition of 100% of shares in Ashford Cancer Centre Research Proprietary Limited, and Integrated Clinical Oncology Network Proprietary Limited’s acquisition of the Adelaide Cancer Centre business.
  • Advised Watts Water Technologies (Australia) Proprietary Limited in its acquisition of 100% of shares in Australian Valve Group Proprietary Limited.
