Wil is passionate about helping his clients achieve their commercial objectives and enjoys working on complex commercial and legal problems. He maintains a collaborative and approachable manner with his colleagues and clients to achieve optimal outcomes.

Wil is an experienced banking & finance lawyer with a particular expertise in property/real estate finance, corporate finance, acquisition finance and structured finance. He has acted for financiers and major corporations on a range of syndicated, bilateral and other debt financing transactions.

Prior to joining Hamilton Locke, Wil worked in the broad Banking & Finance practice at HWL Ebsworth Lawyers and also in the banking team at Colin Biggers & Paisley Lawyers.

SELECTED REPRESENTATIONS
  • Advising CIMIC Group Limited in relation to a number of large scale multimillion dollar investment grade syndicated and bilateral facilities in relation to the issue of bonds or credit with domestic and international bank lenders (as well as all of the CIMIC group’s financing transactions) where Wil is the lead associate.
  • Advising the Thiess Group in relation to a A$68,000,000 facility provided for the Thiess Group from HSBC.
  • Advising Mosaic Brands Limited, an Australian based ASX listed fashion retailer group, in relation to a A$59,000,000 facility with one of Australia’s big four bank lenders.
  • Advising Grow Finance in relation to a A$35,000,000 capital raise provided by way of a senior secured loan note facility.
  • Advising MA Financial Group and the Redcape team in relation to a number of financing transactions in excess of A$35,000,00 with one of Australia’s big four bank lenders in relation to the acquisition of real estate freehold properties and operating businesses.
