Hamilton Locke acted on the recent investment in Serraview, a global cloud-based provider of space optimisation and workforce enablement software. JMI Equity, a growth equity firm focused on investing in leading software companies, made a strategic investment in the company.
The deal involved both Australian and US elements. Hamilton Locke advised Serraview and its shareholders on the Australian aspects of the deal and worked closely with US-law firm Cooley, which was Serraview’s deal counsel and advised shareholders from a US perspective.
The team at Hamilton Locke was led by partner Hal Lloyd and assisted by senior associate Joshua Bell and lawyer Stephen Vrettos.
The terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Commenting on the transaction, Hal Lloyd said: “We are pleased to have assisted on this transaction, which represents an exciting step in the life of Serraview as it builds a market-leading workplace management platform. It was particularly rewarding to work closely with Cooley in advising Serraview and its shareholders to get the deal across the line”.
