Hamilton Locke acted for The Eights as an equity investor in the Shepparton Partners Collective joint venture that was set up to purchase the SPC business from Coca-Cola Amatil. SPC is an iconic Australian-owned business whose brands include SPC, Ardmona, Goulburn Valley, Pro-Vital, IXL and Taylor’s.
The team at Hamilton Locke was led by partner Zina Edwards and assisted by lawyer Monty Loughlin.
Commenting on the transaction, Zina Edwards said: “The transaction is a great outcome for the SPC business. The new owners are excited about the vast opportunities to grow this iconic 100-year old brand both domestically and internationally”.
